Key job responsibilities

The Amazon Prime Air team is looking for an innovative Principal Product Manager to lead our efforts into exploring the use of drone delivery for new business lines. In this role, you will work with businesses within and external to Amazon to identify new opportunities to utilize Prime Air’s system capabilities to find new ways to meet customer needs. A successful candidate is comfortable with high levels of ambiguity and works backwards from the customer to evaluate if we can meet a need. They have experience developing business plans and presenting their ideas to senior executive teams. They are comfortable working with top-notch product managers and engineers collaboratively to evaluate ideas and technical feasibility. We’re looking for someone who thinks big and is not daunted by ‘not built before’. Most importantly, they want to have fun while working hard and making history.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience technical product management

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with developing, launching and iterating on a new product line.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
