Description
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Amazon Ads, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping both product strategy and market success for our innovative advertising solutions. This unique position combines inbound product marketing responsibilities with outbound go-to-market execution, allowing you to influence the entire product lifecycle. You'll leverage customer insights and market research to inform product development, while also crafting compelling messaging and marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption. Working closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, you'll ensure our advertising solutions meet customer needs and achieve strong market fit. Your strategic thinking and execution excellence will be critical in positioning Amazon Ads as a leader in the rapidly evolving advertising technology landscape. Key measures of success:
• Product Strategy & Development: Drive actionable customer insights that measurably impact the product roadmap and enhance customer experiences, resulting in increased user acquisition, engagement, and retention
• Marketing Campaign Performance: Achieve or exceed targets for awareness, consideration, and adoption of Amazon Ads products, directly contributing to revenue growth
• Cross-functional Leadership: Demonstrate strong collaboration across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, resulting in successful product launches and go-to-market initiatives
• Market Intelligence & Innovation: Maintain comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape, translating insights into strategic product and marketing decisions
• Sales Enablement: Develop and maintain high-quality product documentation and marketing collateral that drives consistent usage and effectiveness across Sales and Marketing teams
• Customer Success: Improve customer satisfaction scores and secure testimonials that validate product improvements and marketing effectiveness
• Industry Impact: Increase Amazon Ads' market presence through impactful research, case studies, and thought leadership content
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and results to senior leadership, maintaining strong buy-in and support for key initiatives across the organization
Key job responsibilities
• Lead market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives, translating insights into actionable recommendations
• Partner with Product Managers to define product roadmap priorities, coordinate Alpha/Beta testing, and ensure successful product launches
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption of the Amazon Ads product portfolio, measuring and optimizing program effectiveness
• Create and maintain compelling marketing collateral across all channels (sales materials, case studies, blog posts, videos, web content) that drives product understanding and adoption
• Own product positioning and messaging architecture, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints and internal documentation
• Serve as the voice of the customer in product planning discussions, advocating for user needs while balancing business objectives
• Establish and maintain single-source-of-truth product documentation to enable Sales and Marketing teams with positioning, best practices, and implementation guides
• Identify and drive new growth initiatives based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence
• Lead cross-functional coordination across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure aligned execution of strategic initiatives
• Communicate product vision, strategy, and results to senior leadership, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and organizational buy-in
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience communicating results to senior leadership
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
