Philips Advanced Product Industrialization Engineer in Shenzhen, China
Job title: Advanced Product Industrialization Engineer
Your role:
- Responsible for the design transfer of the NPI products from R&D to Manufacturing, developing the production process for the new developed medical devices(patient monitors and related products eg rack modules),help improve the product quality in product design phase, verify/validate the process and final release the products for shipment. Also to support the sustaining activities after product released.
You are responsible for
Supports the NPI implementation, participates the DFX/PFMEA review, and be champion of design transfer from design to manufacturing.
Define and develop the new products production process, create the working instruction in NPI phase.
Develop the process validation/verification protocol based on QMS requirement, execute the VV protocol with operation engineering team.
Supports R&D engineers on verification tests as needed.
Recommends manufacturing strategies to management team for new products and process improvement
Supports the changes implementation for test systems.
Provides PIE supports for identified products in terms of
Coordinating the implementation of the changes
Support the initiation/resolution on production/shipment hold
Driving the root cause identification for process/material/product issues
Supporting to resolve the quality issues reported from Shenzhen to Globally
Initiating and implementing the CAPA as needed to drive to resolve the issues
Contributing on cost saving through process optimization/improvement
Reviewing the regular in-process, RMA, and field failure reports and monitoring the production process for subassemblies and finished products
Working with multiply functions on new product introduction to markets
Initiates EC for changes and implements the challenging qualification testing required to support the changes.
Coordinates the implementation of Sustaining projects like product enhancement.
Collaborates with Operations engineering team and CFT on timely problem solving.
You are a part of a professional team work closely with R&D, PM and manufacturing team to transfer the NPI products to production, release the shipment on time and make the project success.
You're the right fit if:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above on electrical or technical engineering.
Experience: 5+ years working experience on NPI projects transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
Preferred the experience in the medical device industry.
Be familiar with the medical QMS(eg ISO13485, FDA, NMPA).
Skilled using tools such as DFMx/PFMEA/CAPA.
Good at English Speaking/Listening/Writing.
Ability to complete work independently.
Ability for problem solving.
Team work spirit.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
