Philips Technical Writer in Shenzhen, China
Your role:
Creating, editing, and revising customer-facing technical content including online help, user manuals, installation guides, administrator guides, and service manuals for hardware/software products and services.
Maintaining legacy documentation as needed in FrameMaker and MadCap Flare.
Following established style and content standards.
Validating, testing, reviewing and editing new and existing customer documentation for quality.
Collaborating and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams including Localization, Product/Project Management, Engineering, Quality and Regulatory, to produce high-quality and accurate customer documentation that complies with regulatory requirements and standards.
Actively participating in project team meetings and estimating the relative size of tasks.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree (required) and 5 + years of experience writing and producing technical documentation for products.
Experience working in a highly regulated industry and following mandatory processes (preferably in the medical device industry).
Exceptional communication skills, both in Chinese and English, with ability to research, interpret, analyze, and write by interpreting technical source information.
Ability to prioritize work, balance multiple projects concurrently, and meet strict deadlines.
Expertise (or familiarity) with Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, along with strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite skills, and content management systems.
Graphic design experience (a plus).
Experience with or knowledge of localization and its process.
