Job Description: Safety & Regulatory Coordinator - C shift 1pm-9pm Mon-Fri

Hours: This position will have a base of M-F 1p-9p. Partner may be required to train on different days/shifts depending on EHS needs. Partner may be required to change hours and / or days scheduled based on plant needs, though a standard schedule will be followed when possible. Please see EHS manager for further information on scheduling. Other duties may be assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE: Primary focus of this position will be to coordinate and implement the environmental and safety regulatory programs, reporting systems, education and training to maintain regulatory compliance for the plant and all partners. The EHS Manager at the facility will decide which specific safety and environmental programs the partner will "coordinate" and / or be "directly responsible" for. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the programs are implemented, monitored and documented for compliance.

This position will also be required to be a member of the ERT team.

Testing Requirements: As this position falls under the hourly leader classifications the following tests must be passed prior to interviewing. * Bennett Test * Microsoft Word * Microsoft Excel

Daily 20% Critical for Selection Written Programs - Implement Environmental, Health and Safety written programs, SOPs and associated documentation.

Daily 20% Critical for Selection Compliance -- Read/interpret OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and other safety codes. Read/interpret local, state and federal environmental regulatory codes

Daily 20% Critical for Selection Compliance - Manage documentation and filing systems

Daily 20% Critical for Selection Training - Administer, teach, train and document partners in plant required Safety and Environmental Programs

As needed 20% Critical for Selection Inspections - Know and understand the Safety and Environmental SOPs. Be a plant interface and assist leadership as needed and defined in the gathering information related to SOPs during an external regulatory agency or customer inspection.

Incident Investigations - Work collaboratively with partners and leaders to identify root cause of incidents such as spills, safety incidents, recordables and other EHS issues

Weekly 10% Competency Expected w/in 6 mos. Stay current and attend required Safety and Environmental training to maintain required certifications.

Quarterly 10% Competency Expected w/in 6 mos. Ability to conduct environmental sampling, surveys and inspections.

Monthly 5% Competency Expected w/in 6 mos. Behavior Based Safety -Participate in observations with

leaders in their departments.  Help leaders understand how to improve both the quantity and quality of observations.

Daily 10% Competency Expected w/in 6 mos. Projects - Participate in initiatives or projects outside of plant(s) responsibility on an as needed basis.

Annual 5% Competency Gained Over Time Compliance -- Complete any required certifications (ex. Radiation safety officer, OSHA 511 ot ers as required

FOOD SAFETY FUNCTIONS: Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: (Minimum Level)

Education: High School - GED

Experience: Type: EHS Preferred Number of Years: 2-4 in EHS related field Other: 1-3 years at Schreiber Foods preferred

Field: Skills: Service and Support

Knowledge of Safety and Environmental permitting, regulations and requirements for industrial applications are desired. Proven ability to provide timely documentation and excellent organizational skills is required.

Systems Capability Must be able to proficiently utilize computer applications (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, EHS Software platforms) to enhance performance and provide information to internal and external customers.

Communication Skills Possess an ability to present, in both verbal and written format to both internal and external customers. Timely follow-up and response to both internal and external customers.

Light Work: Lifting twenty pounds maximum with frequent lifting, bending and/or carrying of objects up to ten pounds.
