Shippensburg University Temporary Custodial Workers (Various shifts) in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania
Shippensburg University is currently accepting applications for full-time Custodial Workers for the Summer 2025. (Part-Time positions may be considered)
These temporary positions are needed to support timely turnovers of residence halls for camps and conferences schedules, as well as supplementing our full time staff in maintaining custodial support needs throughout the campus in all athletic, academic and administrative buildings. These temporary positions may also assist in touch up paint in residence halls and academic buildings.
This position is responsible for many custodial tasks associated with the care, cleaning and sanitation of restrooms, stairways, drinking fountains, corridors, classrooms, offices and common areas.
Custodial worker is expected to work with a high degree of independence, accountability and authority. While much of the custodial work is self-driven and process focused, additional work projects may be assigned to meet the departmental needs. Work may be reviewed in progress, upon completion and/or through reports, and feedback is shared on an ongoing basis and through periodic and annual performance review.
Employees always must work within the guidelines established by the department, division, university, federal and state law and with a desire to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and reputation of the department.
