Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Staff Accountant in Sleepy Hollow, New York
We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is a collaborative team member, communicates well with colleagues, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is eager to take on challenges and contribute to Regeneron's growth. This position will perform accounting duties primarily within the Product Revenue and SG&A expense areas. Responsibilities will include the timely completion of activities within the monthly/quarterly close timeline; e.g., recording journal entries and preparing revenue, expense and balance sheet account analyses. This is a highly visible position that will work directly with Accounting, Finance, Commercial Trade, and other departments to gather the information necessary to prepare schedules and accurately account for the areas for which they are responsible.
Our role is based at Regeneron's Corporate offices in Sleepy Hollow, NY, hybrid with 3 days required onsite per week - this role is not open to fully remote work arrangements
A typical day may include:
Performing the Company’s Product Revenue Accounting, including journal entries for sales, gross-to-net deductions, and receivables; reconciliations; and detailed trend analysis of product sales-related deductions.
Preparation of multiple SG&A expense schedules and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Working directly with Finance to ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals.
Performing fluctuation analyses and preparing responses for Management.
Responsible for knowledge of and compliance with the relevant Company Accounting policies.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with documented financial reporting and other related controls and updating related documents as necessary to align with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Assisting with other special projects, analyses, and process improvements, as needed.

To be considered for this role, we require a Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting with 1-3 years of accounting experience. Public accounting experience and CPA license a plus. High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required, specifically Microsoft Excel is required (financial functions, pivot tables, VLookup functions, etc.). Experience with Oracle GL, SmartView, Hubble and Alteryx a plus.
