Job Title: Boiler Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator for the 1st shift, working from 6:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will operate and maintain the facility's boiler/chiller systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit the daily schedule assigned by the department director or designee.
Operate and maintain the facility's boiler/chiller systems and related equipment and control systems.
Monitor boiler operations and make necessary adjustments.
Respond to emergency calls from facility departments for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment as assigned and report deficiencies.
Maintain necessary stock and tools to repair and maintain equipment.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly.
Coordinate repairs to boiler/chiller plant and related systems with other departments.
Conduct daily rounds of the boiler/chiller plant and related equipment.
Document work and maintain accurate records of boiler operations and maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Essential Skills
5 years of Plant Operator experience within a commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting.
2 years of skilled trade or vocational school.
Boiler Operator License.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, boiler maintenance, and facilities maintenance.
Experience with preventive maintenance, valves, and plant equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
Experience with HVAC/R systems.
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
