POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Behavior Analyst will provide services designed to facilitate improved behavior and skill acquisition in children with autism, other developmental disabilities, and behavioral difficulties. Major aspects of this position include but are not limited to the provision of behavioral services through direct intervention with students, consults with staff, and training with parents and caregivers. This position serves children receiving services through the Early Intervention program, The Committee on Preschool Special Education, or school-based Special Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Delivers specialized instruction and training for children who are recommended for or prescribed Applied Behavior Analysis therapy.

  2. Consults with classroom teachers in order to help them adjust a student's learning environment and instruction delivery.

  3. Assesses and documents a student's progress through formal and informal tests and measurements, curriculum-based assessments, functional behavior assessments, and data collection.

  4. Writes daily log notes, quarterly progress notes, and annual review reports.

  5. Conducts and writes Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

  6. Provides parent and caregiver training, support, and education.

  7. Attends IFSP/CPSE/CSE meetings as needed.

  8. Provides supervision and guidance to Registered Behavior Technicians.

  9. Conducts training and professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals.

  10. Performs other related duties as required.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. This position requires a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.

  2. Must hold and maintain BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  3. Must hold a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license in the state of practice.

JOB SKILLS:

  1. This position involves direct work with clients who may exhibit aggressive behaviors. This may require the use of appropriate physical interventions to prevent harm to both the client and the individual.

COMPLIANCE:

  1. Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.

  2. Participates in required orientation and training programs.

  3. Promptly reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to supervisor, Compliance Liaison or to the Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline.

  4. Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.

  5. Participates, as requested, in quality assurance and process improvement activities.

Qualifications

This position requires graduation from an accredited education program as well as appropriate licensure(s) and/or certification(s).

Posted Salary Range

USD $22.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
