What is the Director of Operational Excellence?
The Director of Operational Excellence is a leadership position at Clark-Reliance, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. The Director plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's operations. Leads company's operational efforts in process improvement, business efficiency, and operational strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and CNC Programing teams as well as work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and manage the quality and manufacturing engineering budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support strategic initiatives and achieve quality and cost reduction targets.
- Create and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and create a culture of performance and accountability.
- Oversee the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies to reduce waste, improve process flow, and increase productivity.
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies across all operational areas to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices and principles of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and devise effective operational strategies.
- Conduct regular reviews of operational processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create detailed reports on the progress of initiatives and their impact on business operations.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Manage human resource activities within the area of accountability, to include staffing, performance management, salary administration, employee relations and other related activities.
- Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
- Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
- Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.

Required Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required (Master's preferred) or commensurate experience plus Associates degree in technical or business related field. Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
7 or more years experience in a manufacturing environment including experience lea
