Description
Robert Half is proud to work with an established, well-respected law firm that represents tenants and other plaintiffs in Los Angeles. This firm is looking for an eager, newly barred attorney to join its growing team because the firm continues to bring in new cases!
Responsibilities of Role:
Handling bodies for hearings and depositions.
Spanish speaking is a must have
This person will be working on a project basis until working to the level of being autonomous on their caseload. The firm has around 100 cases in total, so this person will be doing 30 matters.
Discovery, including depositions.
Law and motion, including research and writing.
Court appearances.
Pleadings, including drafting complaints.
Communicating with clients and opposing counsel.

The managing attorney has been with the principal for 13 years and started as an intern during law school. She has stayed because of the culture of the firm and the way they operate.
There are lots of people, including support staff, who have been with the firm for 10+ years.

The principal tries to keep the culture very nice, it started out as a family business (his mother, brother-in-law, and sister have worked here) and he’s maintained that feeling even though most of the people at the firm are not related.
Yacht cruises, retreats, large holiday parties with guests, etc.
The firm has several core values, one of which is “we want to always improve” and they try to keep an open dialogue for people to give their suggestions.
The firm made two process changes that were brought about by two legal assistants.
“My office always invests in the newest technology, we trade out technology every 2 or 3 years, I try to give people the technology needed to succeed.”
The firm runs with a solid financial foundation – the principal didn’t have to lay a single person off during COVID.
Compensation:
Salary range
Up to 110 for newly barred.
Bonuses
Bonuses are paid on the team level because they want to help move cases across the team as opposed to focusing solely on their own matters.
· Medical and vision are covered 100% for the employee on a Kaiser plan and kicks in 90 days after can do 30 days if needed).
- PTO starts with 15 days.
· 401k, they have a base match of 3% along with a profit share that increases the match.
Parking in the building is included
They pay for Unam, which includes a bundle of benefits like life insurance, disability, confidential counselor calls on a 24-hour hotline.
$3,000 in credit to be used for trainings – two attorneys are going to Mexico this year for a “Women in the Law” training, the firm takes everyone to CALA.
Requirements
Must be able to speak Spanish, be commutable to Studio City, and be licensed by the CA bar. Newly barred attorneys are encouraged to apply!
