Need 3 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Sturgeon Lake, MN and at locations in South Dakota. See itinerary and wage information, below. From: 05/01/2025 - 10/31/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8hrs./day 8:00am -5:00pm In Minnesota only, all work in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer s discretion. Must Apply By: 08/01/2025 JOB DUTIES: We operate a small custom forage harvesting business in South Dakota for the corn silage season. It consists of 1 chopper, 1 packing tractor and 4 straight trucks with live bottom forage boxes. We work when the weather allows, some Sundays, and run late at night if there is rain forecasted. We have 3 Kenworth T800 trucks with air ride, air conditioning, 10 and 18 speed manual transmissions, and Meyer chain floor boxes, and 1 Western Star truck with air ride, air conditioning, 10 speed, and chain floor box. We need seasonal employees to assist with our hay harvesting season. Employees main job will be to operate equipment for the corn harvest season: duties also include driving alongside the forage harvester, keeping a steady speed and distance from the machine, until truck is full, then drive to the pile location at a reasonable speed, unload when and where told, and return to the chopper, repeating that for as long as necessary to complete the job. Employees will assist with loading and packing equipment and moving to the next job where the process repeats. While operating vehicles, employees will watch and warn others of obstacles or changes, pay attention on the roads, be careful and respectful of others, and clean the cab of truck out at the end of each day. Before harvest season starts and after it is complete, employees will assist with the following duties on the employer s own farm. These duties will not be completed for any customers listed on the itinerary. Duties would include running tractor with various implements, loaders, hauling and stacking hay, maintaining fence line, building new fence, and washing and prepping equipment for harvest or winter storage. Spread ash and lime on fields to prepare for planting. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires extensive sitting and repetitive movements. Employer will conduct post-hire and random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license (Class D). Require 3 months experience. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
