Job Title: Process Operator
Job Description
The Process Operator is responsible for the safe and quality operation of the Wet Tower, Saw, Forms, and Finishing processes. The role involves running the processes, making decisions on parameter changes to meet quality and production goals, and identifying ways to improve these operations.
Responsibilities
Perform daily startup and shutdown of the processes and complete appropriate process checklists.
Complete process calibrations with the Process Support Coordinator.
Set up, operate, and monitor the Saw and Wet Tower process from the PLC, controlling all equipment, flow, speeds, amounts, and chemicals to make engineered blocks.
Work from a station set up outside of the tower, using a desk and computer to control the process, record data, and make necessary adjustments.
Make various adjustments to the program/process throughout a 10-hour shift to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Run test sampling for test results.
Monitor data and work with the Process Engineer to identify process trends.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades through work requests.
Communicate with the Production Supervisor and Process Engineer about process conditions.
Escalate issues to appropriate management team members.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of PLC and process equipment.
Experience in machine operating, setup, and monitoring Saw & Wet Tower.
Ability to control Saw & Wet Tower by PLC (computer programs).
Effective communication and troubleshooting skills for Saw and Tower.
Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out safety protocols.
Pay & Shift
1st shift: Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm
Pay Range: $22-27 an hour based on experience

The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
