The role you’ll contribute:
Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of the facilities parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of the facility. Responsible for understanding and maintaining safety for patients and staff in all designated zones. Responsible for primary modality and a minimum of one additional modality. The CT Technologist II position accepts additional duties such as quality improvement projects, tracking and ordering supplies, performing X-ray duties as needed, performing the more complicated 3D and CTA exams, overseeing smooth operations of campus locations, teaching students/new technologists and other tasks as assigned my supervisor/department manager.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Proficiency in performing technical CT imaging procedures, on all age groups regardless of age, race or sex, while providing efficient and courteous care. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patients for any contrast allergies.
· Perform X-Ray duties as needed, on all age groups regardless of age, race, or sex, while providing efficient and courteous care. Educates patient concerning exam.
· Provides training and oversight for students and new technologists.
· Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication and transportation of patients.
· Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Associate degree or technical degree in approved Radiology Technologist program
· One-year technical experience
· ARRT (R)
· ARRT (CT)
· Current State X-ray technologist license if applicable
· BLS certification
