Amergis School Aide $22/hr in Tinley Park, Illinois
The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
Paraprofessional license
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Grade Level:
School services intellectually and developmentally delayed students aged 3-22 years old
Open Position: K-1st grade classroom, 5 new students in wheelchairs and need assistance with toileting, minimal behaviors but moments of school refusal and the need to redirect if needed
Caseload Details:
Working in a classroom setting with other paraprofessionals and teacher

Start/End Date:
ASAP (runs the whole year with breaks for holidays)
Start/End time:
8:00am-3:15pm
Breaks paid/unpaid:
Paid 30 min break
