The Student Billing Specialist / Collections Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate recording and processing of student accounts receivable, overseeing collections activities, and assisting students with billing-related inquiries. This role supports financial aid processing, sponsor billing, reconciliation of accounts, and internal/external collection efforts. Additionally, the position coordinates accounts payable processing, prepares financial reports, and assists with bank reconciliations.

This role requires strong attention to detail and extensive technology skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, database software (Excel, Word), and Colleague financial modules.

  • Provide high-quality customer service to students, employees, and external agencies via in-person, phone, and email interactions.
  • Maintain the department's email accounts to respond to student inquiries.
  • Assist students with financial aid, third-party sponsorships, and employee tuition waivers for educational costs.
  • Process student-aid authorizations, including financial aid and third-party sponsored students each semester.
  • Support financial aid students during the add/drop process, collaborating with Records & Registration and Financial Aid offices to resolve enrollment and eligibility disputes.
