Texas State Job Bank Behavior Technician in Uvalde, Texas
Key Responsibilities:
Implement ABA Therapy: Carry out behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA, using ABA techniques to support skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
Data Collection: Accurately record data on client progress, behaviors, and therapy outcomes, ensuring detailed and consistent documentation.
Client Interaction: Engage positively with clients and their families, providing a supportive and understanding presence in the home.
Skill Development: Assist clients in developing daily living skills, communication abilities, and social interactions.
Behavior Management: Use appropriate strategies to manage challenging behaviors, maintaining a safe and positive environment for the client.
Team Collaboration: Regularly communicate with BCBAs, supervisors, and family members to discuss client progress and any concerns.
Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in ABA.
Qualifications:
Certification: Must hold a current RBT certification or be willing to complete the certification process.
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a passion for helping others.
Requirements: Must pass a background check, have a valid driver's license, HS Diploma/GED and reliable transportation.
Hours of Operation Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 Working Hours
