Job Summary
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor - Weekend Shift to join our team at Dorman. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing distribution activities including planning, budgeting, material handling, picking, packing, and shipping of raw materials and/or finished goods. Your leadership responsibilities will include hiring and training staff, planning daily work assignments, conducting performance appraisals, resolving issues, and providing mentorship and coaching.
Primary Duties
Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching and disciplining employees, and enforcing systems and procedures.
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training employees, and creating personal growth opportunities.
Maintain workflow by monitoring the process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, studying methods, and implementing cost reductions.
Complete a plan by scheduling personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and reporting results of the production flow.
Lead start of shift and mid-shift meetings, call for equipment repairs, and evaluate new equipment and techniques.
Analyze performance records and data, provide information, create and revise systems and procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.
Resolve personnel problems, lead continuous improvement projects, interview, hire, and train employees, appraise performance, and address complaints.
Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
Ability to deliver a Turnover rate commensurate with the annual site goals.
Previous supervisory skills and experience are required.
Able to lead projects and achieve desired results.
Capable of lifting 45 pounds and meeting physical requirements.
Comfortable working in conditions that involve reaching, swiveling, carrying items, speaking, active listening, and moderate noise levels.
Education / Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or a high school diploma with relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. #LI-NO1 #DormanProducts
