WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles, including commercial trucks, trailers, and various types of construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, developing action plans, and performing repairs efficiently. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is essential to track service schedules, manage work orders, and ensure accurate inventory of parts. The role also requires knowledge of parts inventory management, some fabrication such as welding, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on fleet vehicles and construction equipment.

Use CMMS software to track and document repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.

Develop and execute action plans to address repair needs and preventive maintenance.

Perform welding, fabrication, and minor bodywork as required.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and equipment history.

Assist in managing parts inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.

Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

Proven experience as a fleet mechanic or similar role, particularly with commercial trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic tools.

Familiarity with CMMS software and parts inventory management.

Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license: commercial drivers license (CDL-A) highly preferred.
