Full Job DescriptionTiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Staff Accountant II, Consolidations, Reporting, and Corporate Accounting. This role will be primarily responsible for assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes. This will include the analysis of the consolidated Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, along with the relevant reporting to group for which this person will be the primary contact for the international markets in using the group reporting tool. This role will also be responsible for reviewing and reconciling intercompany accounts to ensure appropriate eliminations on a consolidated basis and drafting required adjusting entries as applicable. This position will also participate in process improvement projects and will complete other non-routine assignments at the direction of department management.Location: This position is in-person with a hybrid schedule in Whippany, NJ. Key Accountabilities:Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes including:Review of all entities balance sheet fluctuation analyses by account for completeness and validity.Prepare a quarterly balance sheet pack for senior management reporting. This includes drafting commentary and analyzing the period over period changes in Accounts Payable.Prepare supporting analysis for cash flow statement, comparing change in year over year accounts to assist in commentary to be presented to senior management.Accounting for all equity related transactions, including capital infusions and dividends. This includes preparing all journal entries, reviewing eliminations to ensure consolidated balances are correct, and drafting the relevant reporting for LVMH.Monitoring data integrities of the consolidation and resulting financials, which includes working with international markets to correct journal entries and/or IT support to identify and correct errors as applicable.Participate in process improvement projects (departmental, divisional, and company-wide), such as streamlining the Chart of Accounts (COA rationalization) and creating training materials and documentation to facilitate the month-end close process.Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting1-2 years of public or 2+ years of private accountingProficient in excel.Excellent communication and analytical skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam player with proven ability to collaborate productively.Must be willing to work flexible hours during monthly financial close, as well as for special assignments when requestedPreferred Qualifications:Consolidation experienceCPA candidate or hold CPA
Minimum Salary: 15 Maximum Salary: 16 Salary Unit: Hourly
