Job Purpose

Siemens Digital Industries Software seeks a proven and dynamic individual to lead Global Sales organization for Siemens EDA, reporting directly to the CEO of Siemens EDA Silicon Systems. The successful candidate will lead a high-growth multi-billion dollar globally distributed commercial and technical organization operating in 34 countries across the Americas, Pacific Rim, EMEA, Japan, and India. They will work collaboratively with other stakeholders across R&D and sales-enabling functions to manage customer relationships and strategic partnerships, set business strategies, and identify high-impact investments for the company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in helping guide our customer success strategy from Products (best-in-class point tools) to Platforms (multiple products working within a domain), to Solutions (best in class: multiple products and methodology working across domains) to achieve the #1 position in market. They will continue the work to build a solutions-selling focus, with an emphasis on driving new business.

The successful candidate for this role will have deep experience within the semiconductor industry, an appreciation for the dynamic and changing forces in the space, and the strategic prowess and results orientation to win in this highly competitive market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Excellent business judgment and ability to formulate vision, direction, and strategy to build and motivate a cohesive sales team and increase revenue in a dynamic and highly complex market

  • Proven record in building and expanding a customer portfolio for new and repeat business, maximizing business relationships through collaboration, capitalizing on global cultures to realize corporate objectives

  • Dedicated focus on competitive, customer, and technology landscapes to inform strategic outlook

  • Proven success in attracting, motivating, and retaining high-performance, enterprise sales teams; demonstrated track record in building internal and external pipelines of talent in a small and niche talent pool

  • Manage and forecast the business funnel to drive revenue while providing transparency to senior management

  • Ensure effective collaboration with field technical teams and the customers to drive technology adoption and proliferation

  • Effective relationship building and partnership with segment leader executive peer group

  • Responsible for resource allocation including budgets

Role Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • 15+ years’ experience in the EDA industry and proven knowledge of semiconductor design and EDA tool flows to formulate the right strategy, establish credibility with teams, and connect with customers, showcasing the desire to uncover emerging trends from our customers that develop into new business opportunities.

  • Leadership & Management: Collaboration, transformation, strategy development, M&A strategy, leading in a global, matrixed environment

  • Business: Optimization to maintain current business; transformation to expand to include new markets - horizontal portfolio development and enablement, P&L Ownership

  • Technical: EDA portfolio experience focused on integrated circuits, verification, emulation, simulation, physical layout and design

  • Functional: Business management, sales expertise, customer relationship management, M&As

  • A relentless focus on the customer with a track record of success selling complex technical solutions

  • Experience managing a skilled sales team with a large portfolio of business with outstanding organizational and leadership skills

  • Possess outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills to all organizational levels, including executive leadership

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated leadership through partnership and collaboration across a complex, global enterprise

  • Ability to travel frequently is required

The total cash compensation range for this position is $275,900 – $524,200 and this role is also eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
