Philips Medical Education Training Manager (Structural Heart) in Zaventem, Belgium
As our Medical Education Training Manager for our Structural Heart Disease team, you will be responsible for the development, facilitation, execution, documentation, and monitoring of SHD medical training and educational programs (both in-person, virtual, and on-demand asynchronous) as part of a clearly defined, persona-based, blended clinical learning pathway. You will also develop customized programs for targeted in-service (on-site) programs and coordinate hands-on training for budgeted society meetings/ industry conferences which create opportunities to meaningfully educate and impact the practice of participants. You will collaborate with all functions of the business unit (Marketing, Sales, R&D, L&R) to develop an agile program strategy aligned with business priorities and strategic imperatives.
Your role:
Develop, implement, and manage Training curricula that facilitate clinical, technical and/or sales competence, confidence & proficiency in independently supporting the IGTD-CV/PV/HRM/SH (structural heart) portfolios.
Develop curricula based on key principles of Adult Learning and inclusive of all learning styles.
Provide organization and direction of the clinical learning pathway, continuously seeking to shorten the learning curve for clinical technical competence and confidence through innovation.
Own customer training programs end to end - responsibilities include budgeting, development of objectives & agenda, program development based on audience stratification and targeting, content creation in collaboration with KTLs, timely/creative promotion and advertising leveraging marketing and using social media platforms.
Continuously evolve curricula based on AAR, tracking proficiency metrics, financial impact metrics, surveys, and feedback, throughout the year.
Elevate programs by making data-based decisions and attend and assist with planning and development of training for various devices, platforms and programs for both internal and external customers in conjunction with business partners where clinical, technical, or sales enablement expertise is needed, i.e. marketing, Med Ed, Sales Enablement
Collaborate with Key Thought Leaders (KTL), marketing and sales counterparts and key stakeholders to update content and to drive/cultivate peer to peer engagement that reduces learning curve for customers.
Collaborate cross-functionally to assist with planning and development of training for new devices, platforms and programs for external and internal customers in conjunction with business partners where clinical, technical and/or sales expertise is needed
Develop Devices Medical Education Strategy in alignment with business priorities and strategic imperatives utilizing metrics for external customers (Physicians & HCPs).
Underpin strategy with detailed development project plans with milestones and progress reports.
Support Clinical Sales training events as needed to support field competence with medical education event support.
Collaboration with Director and members of the team, on training materials for your assigned area- is a supportive and approachable resource for outside stakeholders and continually demonstrates a “how can I help” behavior.
Facilitation of document review and approval process/ working with content creation partners to ensure all materials are within compliance.
In collaboration with the Director and team members- interfacing with vendors who are responsible for MedEd programs when needed.
Ensuring all educational programs are in line with compliance guidelines.
Collaborating with training logistics coordinators to ensure that the team has an effective database & running of reports.
Attending Medical Education team meetings.
You're the right fit if:
Education: Bachelor's degree required (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Structural Cardiac Cath lab background with SHD procedural expertise.
Industry Knowledge: Medical device experience and collaboration with physicians preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and business acumen.
Expertise in adult learning principles and curriculum development.
Presentation skills for various audience sizes.
Ability to manage budgets, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
Results-driven with metric-based program evaluation.
Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work independently and build lasting relationships.
Travel up to 60%, including some weekends.
Commitment to customer focus, quality, and integrity.
